These terms of use apply to your use of EnjoyTyping (https://enjoytyping.com), including the typing test, typing lessons, typing games, keyboard tester and guides. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
The service
EnjoyTyping is a free website for practicing and measuring typing. You do not need to create an account. Your results and progress are saved in your own browser, as described in the privacy policy. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and we may suspend or discontinue the site without notice.
Provided as-is
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
In particular:
- Typing speed and accuracy results are estimates produced by our own formulas. They may differ from results on other sites or in formal assessments.
- The typing certificate is generated by you, from your own result. It is not an official qualification or a verified credential.
- Guides are general information about typing and keyboards. They are not professional, medical or ergonomic advice.
- Progress stored in your browser can be lost if you clear your browser data, change devices or use private browsing. We cannot recover it.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the site only for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to use the typing tools or games, or to generate results
- scrape, copy or harvest the site's content, word lists or texts in bulk
- overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or the servers that host it
- interfere with ads, analytics or other parts of the site in a way that harms its operation, beyond normal browser settings
- present a result or certificate you did not honestly earn as a genuine measure of your typing ability
- use the site in any way that violates applicable law
We may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.
Intellectual property
The site's design, code, text, guides, lesson structure, graphics and game artwork are owned by EnjoyTyping or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the site for your own practice and share links to it. You may not copy, republish, sell or redistribute its content or code without written permission.
Some practice texts are taken from works in the public domain. Those texts remain free for anyone to use, but our selection, arrangement and presentation of them are part of the site.
You are welcome to share your own results, screenshots and certificates.
Third-party links and ads
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and may link to other websites. We do not control third-party sites or the ads shown, and we are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Your dealings with advertisers or linked sites are solely between you and them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EnjoyTyping and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. This includes decisions made based on typing results or certificates. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
