How the daily leaderboards work
Three games have a daily challenge: every player gets the same text, the same zombies or the same monsters on the same day. That makes the results fair to compare, so each day starts a fresh leaderboard.
| Game | Daily challenge | Ranked by |
|---|---|---|
| Typing Race | Today's text, in three lengths | Words per minute, then time |
| Zombie Typing Game | Daily Horde, per difficulty | Score, then time |
| Monster Typing Game | Daily Monster, per difficulty | Words per minute, for runs that beat all five monsters |
Typing Race also keeps an all-time leaderboard for each text, and you can race the real runs of the top three players as ghosts.
Putting your name on the board
Finish a daily run, enter a nickname and press Submit to leaderboard. You don't need an account. Nicknames can use 3 to 12 letters, numbers or underscores, and your browser remembers the one you used last. Please don't use your real name.
Submitting is always optional. Your practice results stay in your own browser unless you submit them.
When does the day change?
The daily challenge follows the date on your own device, so it changes at your local midnight. Players in other time zones may still be on yesterday's or already on tomorrow's board.
Fair play
Every result is checked on the server before it is saved. Runs that are impossibly fast, that don't match the text length, or that come in too often from one connection are rejected, and an invisible check keeps bots out. If you spot a result that looks wrong, let us know and we'll remove it.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't my run on the leaderboard?
Only daily runs can be submitted: Daily Race, Daily Horde and Daily Monster. In Monster Typing Game you also need to beat all five monsters. Free play and Endless runs are for practice.
Can I remove my result?
Yes. Send us the nickname, the game and the date through the contact page.
Does the leaderboard work offline?
No. You can still play every game offline, but submitting and viewing results needs a connection.
